The Moscow Academic Economic Forum (MAEF) is an international science forum.
The goal of the Forum is to initiate an international scholarly discourse aimed at identifying the key development paths for the theoretical and applied economics.
The Forum comprises plenary sessions, plenary conferences at the Russian Academy of Sciences, at leading universities, as well as regional and interregional conferences, congresses, round tables, youth sections in various regions of the Russian Federation.
The Forum brings together leading scientists and experts from Russia and abroad, foreign professionals, recent graduates, representatives of Russia's federal legislative and executive government bodies, regional governments, academic community, business circles, international and Russian NGOs.
The decision to expand the Forum's architecture as a permanent discussion platform was made on May 26, 2021 at the opening of the 3rd MAEF.

3rd International Moscow Academic Economic Forum titled "The Global Transformation of Modern Society and the National Development Goals of Russia" was held on May 26 and 17, 2021.
The architecture of the MAEF-2021 included a plenary session at the Russian Academy of Sciences, plenary conferences at Russia's leading universities and research centers, closing plenary session in the Congress Hall of the VEO of Russia, as well as regional and interregional conferences and congresses held between May 17 and 25 at 63 regional venues in 41 regions of the Russian Federation.
In total, 8497 participants from 83 regions of Russia and 32 countries of the world took part in the events of the MAEF-2021. These included scientists and experts, representatives of the business community, international and Russian NGOs, and government agencies.
