Registration for the MAEF-2021 opens on April 6

The 3rd International Moscow Academic Economic Forum will take place on May 26-27, 2021 under the title "Global Transformation of Modern Society and the Goals of Russia's National Development."

The Forum will be organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), the Free Economic Society of Russia (VEO of Russia), and the International Union of Economists (IUE).

The draft program of the MAEF-2021 is available on the Forum website.

On May 26, the opening ceremony of the Moscow Academic Economic Forum and two plenary sessions will take place in the Great Hall of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

On May 27, six plenary conferences of the MAEF-2021 will be held at Russia's leading universities.

Regional venues of the MAEF-2021 will have their doors open May 17-25, 2021.

The Forum comprises plenary sessions, plenary conferences at the Russian Academy of Sciences, at leading universities, as well as regional and interregional conferences, congresses, round tables, youth sections in various regions of the Russian Federation.

The Forum co-chairs are Alexander Sergeyev, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Sergey Bodrunov, President of the VEO of Russia, President of the IUE, Director of the Witte Institute of New Industrial Development.

MAEF Program Committee Co-Chairs are Abel Aganbegyan, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of Economic Theory and Policy at RANEPA, Alexander Dynkin, Vice President of the VEO of Russia, President of the Primakov RAS Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Boris Porfiriev, Presidium member at the VEO of Russia, Director for Research at the RAS Institute of Economic Forecasting, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The MAEF International Committee is chaired by Alexander Buzgalin, Vice President of the VEO of Russia, Director of the Institute of Socioeconomics at the Moscow University of Finance and Law.

The MAEF Organizing Committee is co-chaired by Ruslan Grinberg, Vice President of the VEO of Russia, Research Director at the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vladimir Ivanov, Board Member of the VEO of Russia, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Margarita Ratnikova, Vice President and Director of the VEO of Russia, Vice President of the International Union of Economists.

The MAEF will be attended by Russian and global scientists and experts, representatives of the business community, international and Russian NGOs, government agencies.

About 2,000 participants from 62 regions of Russia and 10 countries around the world — the US, UK, Canada, Austria, Germany, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Belarus, and Estonia — took part in the MAEF-2020.
