MAEF 2019: INTERACTIVE SURVEY RESULTS

How to bring the youth into science, will Russia ever become a global leader in technology, and what will play a key role in the development of the Russian economy?

According to an interactive survey conducted as part of the IAEF 2019, the majority of the Forum participants (65%) believe that Russia has everything it needs to compete with the global technology leaders.

Moreover, 64% expressed confidence that Russian science will play a key role in this. Russian scientists are able to offer adequate answers to the challenges of the technological revolution facing the country — the majority of participants at MAEF 2019 have no doubt about this.

35% of respondents referred to technological progress as the most important principle of a strategic model for the development of the Russian economy.

31% of the survey respondents believe that planning could be a significant driver of socio-economic development.

22% believe that stronger competition will play an important role in the development of a strategic model for the Russian economy.

51% of the respondents agreed that the youth should be involved in science through creating a positive image and strengthening the prestige of the profession of a scientist, and, of course, funding of science and research should be improved.

It's worth reminding that the Forum was held not only in the capital, but also at 28 regional venues across Russia.

More than 2.5 thousand people from 62 regions of Russia took part in MAEF 2019, including representatives from 25 countries of Europe, Asia, the Middle East, North and South America.
